Shawshank Redemption (1994), directed by Frank Darabont is a drama film version of the Stephen King’s book. So far the film has made more than $27 millions. This is one of my favorite film because it moved me to tears.
Andy Dufresn (Tim Robbins) , financier, is wrongly convicted to annuity for killed his wife and her lover. He goes to jail- Shawshank, which is govern by the sadistic guards and unconscionable director. Andy after few days meets a brutal prison but he do not give up. Through a friend Ellis (Morgan Freeman), he manages to take revenge.
I’m glad to say that this film is one of the best which I ever watched. Extremely moving and surprising at unexpected moments. Morgan Freeman, for me, the best actor in this film was credible and he coped well with his role. The screenplay differs slightly from the book and its masterfully written. Absolutely brilliant soundtrack in film is composed by the best composers like Thomas Newman. I think that Shawskhank Redemption is a complete success.
Frank Darabont has made some absolutely amazing films like The Green Mile or The Mift. Darabout leads us to think over justice on the world. It is one of the best films I’ve seen in a long time. The movie is real and it’s reveals the true face of the people. Anyone who loves drama, should see this film. Highly recommended.
