EU

I am quite sure that most of people will disagree with the main idea of my post, but in my opinion the era we are living is a historical one.
The EU establishment had created by using peace what every opressive emperor has fantasized but, this time, by not using infantry and artillery, but in fact, pure consensus.
Europeans nowadays have more reasons to understand than hate each other (which -believe me- wasn't always the case...)
The forthcoming generations will probably have the privilege to take this situation for granted (as we did with subway network, electricity, solar energy , plastic straws etc) and I am afraid that won't evaluate all these efforts, negotiations and mutual withdrawals that took place in order to create the status we all recognize today as the only reality.
In my opinion the greatest peril that peace brings with her is the idea that things started that way and not the opposite...
