there is no right or wrong way of learning. we all have our own style and this has nathing to do with how intelligent we are, but it has to do with the way our brains work. it is useful to identify your dominant learning style, so you can choose the most effective learning strategies for ypu. there is no good or bad learning style but there can be a good or bad match between the best way for you to learn and the strategies you use.
for insance, you may find it difficult to pay attention at school or stay interesed when someone presents a topic orally. this might be because the topic is boring but it is also possible that listening does not match your learning style
in oder to idebtify your learning style, think about how you remember a phone numbe. can you see the number on the piece of paper exacly as you wrote it down if you can ou may be a Visual Learner and you learn best be seeing things. you remember iinformation you read and you learn by writing things down and making diagrams and charts you like to use pictures. you also like work alonebecause you are easily distracted by noise.
perhaps you can hear the phne number in the way someone said it to you in this case you might be an auditory learner and you learn thigs best bylistening you remember what people say and you learn by repeating things or saying them aloud you enjoy group discussions and listening to cassettes and you even like working with music in the backgroung however you periods it dificult to work quietly for long periods of time
if you let your fingers dial the number without looking at the phone you may be a tactile kinaesthetic learner and you learn by touching and doing things you remember best when you can touch and hold learning materials practical activites such as making posters and using a computer help you remember you like moving about and you enjoy role play activities however you find it difficult to sit still and you play with objects and move your hands and boby a lot
