Hej mam do napisania krótką prezentacje na angielski o tornadach. Czy mógłby mi ktos powiedzieć czy to ma sens? Bardzo proszę o pomoc...
A tornado is a tube of spinning air that touches the ground. Wind inside the tornado, spinning very fast, makes tornadoes very dangerous. More dangerous as the last horror which you saw.
Tornadoes mostly happen during very strong thunderstorms called supercell storms. They cause a lot of damage to anything they touch. People die every year from tornadoes.
Why do tornadoes turns around? It is very simple. Let’s accept that our hands are two wind with different speeds. Put the pencil between your hands, move one away from you, the pencil will spin.
Tornadoes are the most violent of all weather systems. Wind speeds can reach up to over 450 km per hour. Under such conditions cars are picked up and thrown about like toys, huge trains are blown off their tracks, a lot of houses are destroyed in a few seconds. But it isn’t all. With cars, trains, houses tornadoes assign death thousands people.
The weather shocks each of us every day. We often plan how to spend our time. When it is rains, we often choose to stay at indoors. On the other hand when it is warm and sunny, most of us put on our summer clothes and enjoy being outside. Sometimes the weather is warm and sometimes it is cold and rainy. However, occasionally the weather gets extreme. So extreme, in fact, that it becomes dangerous – even deadly! So if you see windy and rainy weather maybe stay at home… umbrella? It is not a good idea for a tornado.
Seeing a tornado can be very exiting… but also can be very scary too.
If You want to see tornado, maybe you’ll ask me, where are the most tornadoes? Three out of four of all the world’s tornadoes happen in the United States. Moreover there is a part of the US where tornadoes are so very often that people call it “Tornado Alley”. But don’t thing that tornadoes are only in United States. Tornadoes can happen anywhere in the world… in Poland too. So, maybe you ask me what time of day tornadoes can be? Hmm tornadoes are most common in the late afternoon. So if you eat supper don’t forget about thinking of tornadoes which are destroying houses, buildings etc.
