y moja ocena końcowa
The Sixth Sense
Where do people go after death? Could they communicate with living? Could they hear and see us? Nobody knows answers to these questions but listen to a sensible story that explains those striking matters.
“The Sixth Sense” is a thriller directed by M. Night Shyamalan. The leading role of Malcolm Crowe is played by well known actor Bruce Willis . Supporting parts of Cole Sear, Anna Crowe and Lynn Sear are played by Haley Joel Osment , Olivia Williams and Toni Collette .
Malcolm Crowe is very successful therapist a with loving wife by his side and a bright future ahead of him. One day Vincent, his old patient whom he couldn’t help breaks into his house. Man blames the psychologist for his ruined life and commits suicide. Months later Malcolm meets a child named Cole whom he tries to help to make up for the old mistakes. It turns out that boy has a special gift. But the doctor soon finds out that not every gift is a blessing.
“The Sixth Sense” is not another stupid horror movie made only to send shivers down our spines or one with blood dripping from the screen. Night Shyamalan made film at a cost 40 millions dollars but earned 319 millions dollars. It has absorbing storyline with lot of twists in the most unexpected moments. All actors did a really good job, but in my opinion Haley Joel Osment deserves a standing ovation. His performance was simply stunning for only an eleven year old boy. Bruce Willis showed us his other side. We still remember him as Pan Goodkat from ”Lucky Number Slevin ” and John McClain in ”Die Hard”. “The Sixth Sense” shows us how versatile he can be. The soundtrack that we can hear through the whole movie is composed by James Newton Howard (Waterworld, Pretty Woman). It really emphasize clime of The whole story.
When I first heard about “The Sixth Sense” I thought that it wasn’t really my cup of tea. But after watching it I realize that M. Night Shyamalan manage to create something much more than simple thriller. It’s not a film based on special effects but it still manages to leave me drove into an armchair and with my mouth hanging open. It’s one of those films that you can watch over and over again and still find something new in it. I encourage everyone to watch this blockbuster , it’s definitely worth it
