I am writing in response to your letter from 9 February 2010 related to cancellation of my Direct Debit instructions.
I would like to begin with the fact that in September 2009 I wanted to cancel my membership in ___________. I brought a two copies of cancellation letters, but I was informed by one of your staff member that I signed one year contract, which cannot be terminated. I understood that, accepted and kept paying my monthly membership fees till February 2010, when my one year contract expired. Then I cancelled Direct Debit instructions. Needless to say that due to worsening condition of my knee I have not visited any of your facilities since September 2009.
I was highly surprised, when I received a letter informing me that in accordance with the terms and conditions of membership I am required to give 3 months written notice to cancel my membership. I was extremely startled and disappointed, how can you even think that I am going to continue my membership if I last visited you about five months ago.
I am not a person who tries to remember each sentence from terms and conditions clause and definitely I do not read it constantly. Every action, I was taking relied on my conversation with one of your employee. I used to trust people and I consider it my strength. Please do not try to change it.
In consideration of the above I request immediate cancelation of my membership and I expect that no additional charges will be applied.
I hope we will finish our cooperation amicably and my good opinion on __________will remain unaltered. If necessary, I attach two signed copies of cancelation letter.
