I have to put the verbs in brackets into a correct tense. If you check them I will be grateful.
Last summer I visited the United States. I (look forward) had been looking forward to the trip for ages, and I (enjoy) enjoyed mysefl very much. On the 4th of July a friend (suggest) suggested we go and watch the fireworks. I (see) saw fireworks before, but I (never/experience) have never experienced anything like the spectacle we (witness) witnessed that night.
