Young people should leave home at the age of eighteen.
In my opinion age shouldn’t be the main reason why young people leave their home. The most important is reaching maturity. Generally, the age of eighteen is considered as mature age: young people can vote, buy alcohol, cigarettes, watch films for adults etc. But does it mean that person is mature?
Firstly, young people leave home for a variety of reasons. The most usual is that they grow up and leave their parents to be on their own and start independent, separate life. Sometimes children leave because of conflict within the home. Decision about leaving home shouldn’t be making rashly. Age isn’t a determining factor. Take into consideration should be maturity, self-reliance and financial independence. However, there are opinions that person who is eighteen must try to be independent on parents: must go to work, earn money and live without parents. I think that the young can work especially if the material situation in the family is not good, but I don’t think that person without education can earn enough money to maintain.
Secondly, person who is eighteen should concentrate on education. Only education can assure good job, good earnings and high standard of living in the future. Adults say that expenses connected with education are very expensive, for instance, books, notes etc. But parents’ duty is to enable children to educate. Even if children work, they shouldn’t neglect school.
My last argument is that the first situation when young people leave their home is when they go to university. They often move to another city, without friends, colleagues. Generally, most parents help their children by financial support. But I know that the young try to be independent and they want to relieve parents of giving money.
To sum up, is hard to say when the young should leave their home. The most important is that decision about become separated on parents must be well-considered.
