Discuss the role of media the contemporary world. Explain the reasons for the growing popularity of the Internet.
Life is not a simple thing as it used to be in the past few centuries. People had less demands and less requirements in the
past as compare to today.
In contemporary world media play very important role in our life. Everyday people were in touch with media. Daily routines
such as watching TV, listening to radio, reading the newspapers, using Internet give us very many informations. People want
to remain informed about everything and news, which is taking place anywhere in the world.
Media has made a very special place for itself in our lives. If I say that today, media has become as important as food and
clothing.
Through the media we are able to connect with large number of people around us.Now people living in different countries know
everything about the people of other countries sitting at home with the help of media. Education has become very easy and
understandable with the help of audio and video media because children understand things through them quite easily. The main
advantage of media is current information, which is available round the clock and people remain informed about important news
through radio, television and other sources. Media make people relaxing, give an entertaiment and knowledge, but also there
are very dangerous. Addictedness towards media is heavyweight social problem nowadays. These people spend too much time
surfing the net, watching tv and finally losing control. This problem occur especially in youth. Parents should control kids
and don`t allow to go crazy. Internet has truly become the need of every individual both for our work and to connect with our
friends. Facebook and other social portals have occupied such special place in our lives. Besides connecting with our
friends, media also informs us about the world happenings.
Another problem in media is calleg tabloids. Tabloids are kind of newspaper, which give us false informations about world,
news and people. Chasing of sensations, these people are able to do everything. People called "Paparazzi" fallow the music and film stars during all their life. They taking photos in every strange situation and public it in newspapers.
Even if the media informs the people about a person in a negetive way, even if it is not true, the population will believe
it.
Unless you never watch TV, listen to a radio, or read, you almost certainly have heard about the Internet or know something
about it. Very few people have never heard of the Internet; however most people have either used the Internet occasionally
or frequently. It doesn't take much to know that the Internet has attracted an enormous amount of attention the past few
years. Initially, Internet was used to research. Then, Internet have become a fast, cheap and user friendly tool to
comunicate around the world. Now, Internet is the most popular media - people read a news in internet, do shopping in
internet and make business in it. I think that popularity of internet will be still grown up. So we can say the role of media is very important in our life.
