This work contains the results of investigation a-C:N:H layers obtained on polycarbonate substrtes using Radio Freqency Chemical Vapour Deposition (RFCVD) method. Effects of nitrogen incorporation on the strukture and tribological properties of deposited films were examined. The investigation of structure of these layers were carried out by FTIR spectroscopy. IR spectra demonstrate nitrogen bonded to carbon and hydrogen as CÄźN, NH2, -C-NH2, C=NH, which are typical for a-C:N:H layers. The friction coefficient and wear resistance were investigation, in reciprocating motion and also in rotary motion, by Micro-Combi-Tester (reciprocating motion) and by tribometer in ball-on-disc configuration (rotary motion).
