The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a 2008 American fantasy and drama film made by directors David Fincher. The film stars Brad Pitt and Cate Blenchett. It won Oscars for Art Direction, Makeup, Visual Effects and if you watch it you will understand why. It is an absolutely brilliant film.
A baby boy is born with the appearance and illnesses of a very elderly man. The baby's mother dies and the father gives the boy to a nursing home. There Benjamin meets Daisy, whose grandmother lives in the nursing home. She is his love. As Benjamin gets younger, he starts work and travel. Benjamin also meets Thomas Button, who is his father. Leter Button again meets Daisy and they get married. But he becomes increasingly younger.
The screenplay is loosely based on the short story of the same name by F.Scott Fitzgerald and is moving. The film has beautiful photos, amazing scenery and special effects, which can move in the time. The acting is on the high level. Music harmonises with image.
