to develop a disease - zachorować (na jakąś chorobę)
to develop a skin cancer - zachorować na raka skóry

podstawowym znaczeniem jest: rozwinąć/rozwijać, wypracować/opracować ...

niestety nie jest to jedyne znaczenie ..............poniż…ej więcej znaczeń. jak widzisz, jest ich całkiem sporo i w róż…nych kontekstach słowo to róż…nie moż…na przetłumaczyć.
