One of the most popular festival in my town is Beer’s Day. It is celebrated in the end of June and takes place on fresh air. The area where people can watch performances is a big picturesque amphitheatre. Stage is on the water. Wooden benches, where we can sit are painted on brown. Nearby is a marvellous park and old castle ruins.
Many celebrities were invited to appear on Beer’s Day this year. Organizers took good care of everything. Firs day they decorated stage. It was all black with some big gold inscriptions in the background. Second day lights, smokes and tannoy were tested. What is more, some artists have their rehearsals, so many young people go there to listen to music.
Third day at Saturday noon our mayor ceremonially opened the party. He gave a short speech and drank a pot of beer from our local brewery. Initially occurred hardly know bands from Poland and abroad. After that we could see a famous polish cabaret and then least about an hour fashion show. At 21 p.m. Madonna steal the show. Demonstration of fireworks finished the festival.
For me it was very good show. I like this type of events, because it is opportunity to meet with my colleagues and it is a way to relax. Me and my friends we were watching performances all day and were dancing and singing when music was suitable for us. I would like to have that holiday more often.
