Gallery’s History
Gallery of Contemporary Art was established in 1992. For nineteen years it has been located on Polowa 19. In 1997 the gallery was moved to Długa 13, where it is now. Gallery of Contemporary Art of Pólnocno-Mazowieckie Museum has numerous works of art, which together with the museum collection of contemporary fine arts amounts to about 800 exhibits. Presently the collection enlarges almost only thanks to the gifts. Gallery of Contemporary Art works in the frame of Museum’s art section. Its main role is to present, promote and document contemporary arts phenomena.
