grammar it is like with baldness. Some people hate it, others carry it around
proudly. Some think it's quite unnecessary, others couldn't live without it.
Z gramatyka jest troche jak z lysina. Niektorzy ludzie jej nienawidza, inni obnosza sie z nia dumnie. Jedni mysla, ze jest zupelnie niepotrzebna, inni z kolei nie mogliby bez niej zyc.
As usual, the truth lies somewhere in between. While it is important to use grammatical structures properly, we have to remember that English, just like Polish in many cases, is more flexible than we think. One of the main problems in Polish public schools when it comes to teaching English is the fact that too much time is being spent on grammar exercices, various tests and other functions which are in themselves useful, but should be balanced out with lots of communication and every day language drills. There is often a big difference between the language of the native speakers and the stiff "bookish" English taught in some schools.
CLICKANDBITE is going to attempt to help you with grammar as it relates to every day life in America. I am not an expert in British English, though as far as grammar is concerned, there are no major differences between British and American English. I would like you to be able to see that grammar can and MUST be explained in a way that is easy to understand, fun to read, and exciting to use. Do you have questions about anything that has to do with grammar? Post it on our forum.
